February 10 Card Class & February 17 Card Club

Below are the cards that we will make in my February 10 Card Class and February 17 Card Club:

This card was made using the Love & Sympathy stamp set.  The base card is tempting turquoise embossed with the lovely lace embossing folder.  The white pieces are whisper white cardstock cut out with the oval framelits.  The old olive border was cut out with a spellbinder that I happened to have.  The image was stamped by using the tempting turquoise and old olive markers directly on the stamp and then "huffing" on it prior to stamping.  The sentiment was stamped in black Memento ink, and the butterflies were cut out with the beautiful wings embosslit.

This card was made using the Moon Lake stamp set.  The base card is cajun craze cardstock topped with always artichoke punched with the notebook punch that I just realized is no longer in the catalog (sorry about that).  I used sponges dipped in various colors of ink to create the background before stamping the image with early espresso ink.  The sentiment background was created by using the word window and modern label punches.

Thanks for looking.  Our club will be coming to a close soon so if you are interested in signing up for the next one, just let me know.

Grandbabies

I'm so excited to have another grandbaby on the way.  Below is the card I plan to send my daughter to let her know that I can't wait to meet my new grandbaby, and also to tell her what an awesome Mom she is already to 3-year old Owen:

Card Class and Card Club - January 13 & 20, 2015

These are the cards that we made in the January 13 card class and will be making at the January 20 card club  (Hopefully I can learn to take pictures without the shadows before our next card class.):

This card was made with the Groovy Love Stamp set.  The base card is tempting turquoise card stock, with a piece of black and white card stock cut out with the one note die.  The white images were made with versamark ink and white embossing powder.  We then used sponges to apply daffodil delight, tempting turquoise, and melon mambo ink to create the tie die effect.

These cards were made with the Hey, Valentine and World Map stamp sets.  The base cards use cherry cobbler and coastal cabana card stock.  We used the black memento ink to stamp the images on whisper white cardstock and then colored them in with the blendability markers.  The banners were created with the banner punch and framelits.

Thanksgiving & Christmas 2014

I still seem to be having trouble getting back to the blogging, but thought I would at least post a few cards that I made over Thanksgiving and Christmas:  (I have always been very careful to give credit to the original creator of a card I may have copied or been inspired by on my blog; however, it's been so long since these cards were done, that I'm not going to go back to figure it out now.  If you believe one of my cards is a replica of one you created, please feel free to tag yourself.)  In addition to seeing a shadow on all of my pictures, it looks like I also should have cropped them.  Perhaps this is why I haven't posted in so long.)

Easter Cards

Easter is less than two weeks away!

These two cards were made with the Blessed Easter stamp in the mini catalog.  The card on the left also uses the hexagon hive thinlits die.  I used the ink pads and a blender pen to color the tulips and leaves in.  Hoping that you and yours have a Blessed Easter!
